We consistently focus on safety right from the raw material selection stage for our ultra-thin transfer decorations: Our KURZ transfer decorations meet all the requirements of the REACH regulation. We strictly avoid using SVHC substances from the candidate list - a clear contribution to product safety along your supply chain.
Step by step, we are converting our entire product portfolio to be more resource-efficient: With an ultra-thin aluminum layer of only 0.02 μm and reduced carrier materials from the original 12 μm to 10 μm (for hot stamping qualities) and to 6 μm (for cold transfer products), we achieve high-quality surface decorations with minimal use of resources and a reduction in PET waste of up to 50%. This allows us to make processes not only more efficient, but also more material-friendly - without compromising on quality and design.
Our slim technology focuses on maximum performance with minimal material usage. Thanks to an innovative layer structure with reduced carrier thickness and optimized release behavior, we achieve high-gloss finishes of the highest standard.
In addition to the technical benefits, the lower PET content reduces waste volumes and disposal costs - a clear advantage in terms of efficiency and carbon footprint.
Our KPS slim 2.0, KPW XU slim, ECOFIN® CWO slim all use this technology, which is protected by European patent EP 4069522 B1.
Our commitment to sustainability is particularly evident in the application: Our cold transfer process is dry, and we use heat recovery to return the exhaust air back into the internal energy cycle - an intelligent system that saves energy and avoids emissions.

In order to safely deliver our high-quality surface finishes to the processor, we need a PET carrier material. Since resource conservation plays a key role in our sustainability strategy, we use slimmer carriers that have been reduced from 12 µm to 6-10 µm, depending on the transfer product. This reduces the waste you generate by up to 50% when you choose our slimmest carriers. But we have also found an optimal, environmentally friendly solution for these distinctive carrier residues: Our innovative RECOSYS® 2.0 return and recycling system. This allows us to recover the valuable raw material rPET from used carriers in our in-house recycling plant.
rPET is ideal as a raw material for a wide range of applications, such as the production of yarn for technical textiles.
Reducing your carbon footprint is easy with KURZ. Become part of the RECOSYS® 2.0 family and instantly reduce your Scope 3 emissions. This will make your products even more attractive to your customers.
After collection, we feed your used PET carrier material directly into our recycling process. In doing so, we optimize the recyclate properties and create a new raw material: rPET. This can be used, for example, in the form of recycled fibers or yarn for the production of technical textiles and thus be returned to the material cycle.
